I had the configuration set to auto update but I checked every day and the date did not change from the day I installed the software. There was no response to a report form I filled in on the website, so then I emailed support. 24 hours later, which was now 5 days without an update, I received a reply that included "Maybe there is some delay between our server and your local machine, so we advise users try to upgrade to the latest version by clicking on the "Check for updates" in the settings."
The use of the term "virtual reality" to describe 360-degree video has been disputed, as VR typically refers to interactive experiences wherein the viewer's motions can be tracked to allow real-time interactions within a virtual environment, with orientation and position tracking. In 360-degree video, the locations of viewers are fixed, viewers are limited to the angles captured by the cameras, and cannot interact with the environment. The non-dynamic nature of video also means that rendering techniques cannot be used to reduce the risk of motion sickness.[21][22]

360 IS does deserve some credit for presenting harmful results in ways that try not to scare users. Once a potential threat is detected, 360 IS will display some basic info. to identify the malicious file, a brief description of how the malware behaves, where it's located in the system, and whether the malware was detected via the cloud engine or from a local scanner. Though your mileage may vary, a "full scan" at highest speed took about 33 minutes to complete on our test machine. 360 IS will produce a text log after every complete scan with a list of results, similar to other scanners like Malwarebytes.

Even though Final Cut Pro lets you edit 360-degree videos, you need to make sure that your computer meets the technical requirements necessary for editing spherical videos. Furthermore, if the 360-degree footage captured by the camera isn't stitched together, the software won't permit you to import the footage unless you install a plugin. Before you can start editing you have to create a new 360-degree video project, so you can begin utilizing the software's 360-degree video editing tools.

There are several other apps that can do similar things, but the Collect apps interface is perfect for mobile use and makes it really easy to edit your videos. Once you’ve finished editing you can preview your new videos then either save them to your device or share them. I use the collect App when I’ve shot a few short 360 videos in the same location and want to merge them into an easy to watch longer video, the controls and interface allow me to do so in just a few minutes.
During the editing process, you can trim or clip videos, add titles or graphics and edit the 360-degree video clips as footage captured with a 4K or Full HD cameras. The V360 is very similar to the Collect app in that its specifically designed for editing 360 video. 360 Internet Security does come with a couple of competitive features for not just local and Web-based protection, but also a couple of privacy protection measures like anti-keylogging and unauthorized Webcam hijacking, which isn't common among other security suites. There are some recognizable attributes that allude to some Bitdefender throwback in 360's features, like real-time file protection; and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the real-time scans from the cloud are borrowed from Bitdefender's definitions.
The upper-right area sports the standard closing and minimizing buttons, as well as a drop-down menu that lives alongside them. In the second row, a giant check mark and a small arrow tab in the center both reveal a pull-down menu with added filtering options, as well as some stats on the number of blocked items. On the plus side, these menu options did seem a bit odd at first, but at least they weren't invasive.
Overall, 360 IS's general interface remained easy to use but also lacks a bit of direction in some areas. There is a decent number of useful tools under the hood, but not a whole lot of obvious signs of the existence of these monitoring features, at least at first glance. It's both good and bad in that for the casual user, the malware scanner is front and center while most other complex tools, options, and features stay out of the way. And though it does reduce the prospect of overwhelming any users with ambiguous tools, those who are more into in-depth monitoring will have to do a bit of minor digging; but overall, things aren't too hard to find despite the minimal guidance.
