The use of the term "virtual reality" to describe 360-degree video has been disputed, as VR typically refers to interactive experiences wherein the viewer's motions can be tracked to allow real-time interactions within a virtual environment, with orientation and position tracking. In 360-degree video, the locations of viewers are fixed, viewers are limited to the angles captured by the cameras, and cannot interact with the environment. The non-dynamic nature of video also means that rendering techniques cannot be used to reduce the risk of motion sickness.[21][22]
Google Cardboard, which is typically distributed in the form of do-it-yourself kits consisting of low-cost materials and components,[19] has been credited with helping virtual reality become more readily available to the general public, and helping boost the adoption of 360-degree video by publishers, such as mainstream journalists and media brands.[20]

Sorry if this has been asked before. I've searched the subreddit but can't find any information on this. I've got a 360fly I picked up used. I can see the video on my phone using cardboard and it works great. It also plays well in the Director Windows application. When I want to view it in another app in Cardboard, however, it looks all screwy. Either fisheyed or the axis is distorted so that the horizon curves in odd ways. I can convert it to equirectangular, but then the resolution drops considerably. Since the 360fly app works great in cardboard, I'm assuming that they are using some proprietary variant of MP4. Is that correct, or is there something I'm missing? Is there a FAQ or some other document that would point me the way to viewing the high resolution 360fly videos in an app other than the 360fly? My ultimate goal at this point is to view my movies on my Oculus Quest.

360 IS performed well as a very capable scanner with a crisp and mostly intuitive interface, and thankfully lacked the many scareware tactics found in other smaller, alternative lightweight virus scanners. Overall, 360 IS's scanner had minimal impact on system performance, and still ranked relatively high on third-party charts. If you're in the market for an antivirus program, then 360 Internet Security's well-rounded protection and friendly useability will make a promising addition to your Windows system.
