So you’re asking yourself ‘why would you want to convert my 360 video to standard video.’ There are always instances where you want the viewers to look to the left and not miss the important parts or where a 360 video is feasible, or not how to best showcase your video. As a standard video, you are able to be the director and take your viewer along the visual journey you wanted them to see.

A great video isn’t just about images. Without clear audio you lose much of the emotional impact. Music can make a big difference in immersing your audience into your experience. Often time camera pick up white noise such as wind, which can take away from the playback experience. Why not add a soundtrack to your video to set the mood you want share. Be sure to pick a soundtrack to compliment the action on screen.

The setup process will then notify you of any potentially conflicting AV programs you have already installed and give you the option of uninstalling them. Again, layering multiple AV programs is generally bad practice, but if used in a corporate environment with preinstalled security software, you might have to take into consideration that 360 IS may not function properly with any neighboring security suites.
There are several other apps that can do similar things, but the Collect apps interface is perfect for mobile use and makes it really easy to edit your videos. Once you’ve finished editing you can preview your new videos then either save them to your device or share them. I use the collect App when I’ve shot a few short 360 videos in the same location and want to merge them into an easy to watch longer video, the controls and interface allow me to do so in just a few minutes.

The Immersive Video option that is now available on the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC makes stitching 360-degree videos together or post-processing them a routine job. The software offers support for all equirectangular file formats, which means that you can import your 360-degree videos into the Adobe Premiere Pro the same way you'd import any other type of media file. However, you have to enable the VR Video option to preview the 360-degree footage in the software's Preview Window.
Overall, 360 IS's general interface remained easy to use but also lacks a bit of direction in some areas. There is a decent number of useful tools under the hood, but not a whole lot of obvious signs of the existence of these monitoring features, at least at first glance. It's both good and bad in that for the casual user, the malware scanner is front and center while most other complex tools, options, and features stay out of the way. And though it does reduce the prospect of overwhelming any users with ambiguous tools, those who are more into in-depth monitoring will have to do a bit of minor digging; but overall, things aren't too hard to find despite the minimal guidance.

This is the only paid for software on this list, but is definitely worth it if you want to get serious when creating 360 videos. Mettle Skybox is a plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, it allows those programmes to work with 360 video and apple advanced effects to both photos and videos. Using this plugin, you can graphics, titles and animations to 360 video and they will be rendered in the correct format. See below for a very basic example of what it can do.
360 IS does deserve some credit for presenting harmful results in ways that try not to scare users. Once a potential threat is detected, 360 IS will display some basic info. to identify the malicious file, a brief description of how the malware behaves, where it's located in the system, and whether the malware was detected via the cloud engine or from a local scanner. Though your mileage may vary, a "full scan" at highest speed took about 33 minutes to complete on our test machine. 360 IS will produce a text log after every complete scan with a list of results, similar to other scanners like Malwarebytes.

So you’ve bought a 360 camera and want to start shooting some awesome 360 video. After you’ve shot your video you’ll probably want to do a bit of editing; trimming, color correction, filters, add text, sounds simple enough right? Unfortunately no. 360 video is special and therefore the normal editing programmes and apps won’t work, you’ll need to use ones that are specifically deigned to edit 360 video. Thankfully there are now more a few excellent software options (both free and paid) out already that will allow you to easily edit 360 video. I’ve included links to where you can download each piece of software/app below.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I've searched the subreddit but can't find any information on this. I've got a 360fly I picked up used. I can see the video on my phone using cardboard and it works great. It also plays well in the Director Windows application. When I want to view it in another app in Cardboard, however, it looks all screwy. Either fisheyed or the axis is distorted so that the horizon curves in odd ways. I can convert it to equirectangular, but then the resolution drops considerably. Since the 360fly app works great in cardboard, I'm assuming that they are using some proprietary variant of MP4. Is that correct, or is there something I'm missing? Is there a FAQ or some other document that would point me the way to viewing the high resolution 360fly videos in an app other than the 360fly? My ultimate goal at this point is to view my movies on my Oculus Quest.

I had the configuration set to auto update but I checked every day and the date did not change from the day I installed the software. There was no response to a report form I filled in on the website, so then I emailed support. 24 hours later, which was now 5 days without an update, I received a reply that included "Maybe there is some delay between our server and your local machine, so we advise users try to upgrade to the latest version by clicking on the "Check for updates" in the settings."
